How to sell Amazon stock

  1. Log in to your trading platform with your username and password.
  2. Check the number of AMZN shares you own.
  3. Select the stock and click on 'sell' in the 'place order' box.
  4. SELL is usually highlighted in red.
  5. Select the order type: a limit order is usually the default.
  6. Set the price you want to get for a single stock.
  7. Select the quantity you want to sell. Make sure you don't enter a higher number of stocks than you actually own.
  8. Hit 'place order' to place the sell order.
  9. Wait for the order confirmation to arrive. When the order is fulfilled you will get a confirmation about the transaction.
  10. Congratulations, you successfully sold Amazon stock!
