The easiest way to buy Treasury Bonds is to use an online brokerage account and buy previously issued bonds in the secondary market. Newly issued treasuries can be purchased at auctions held by the government.
If you live in the US, you can also use TreasuryDirect and take part in Treasury auctions directly. The system is run by the Bureau of the Fiscal Service under the US Treasury Department, a branch of the federal government. The minimum investment is $100.
