tastytrade, Inc, the company behind the options trading platform with the same name was established in 2017 and is headquartered in Chicago, US. It is a privately-owned business entity. tastytrade is a young, up-and-coming US broker focusing on options trading. It is regulated by the top-tier Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) for Australian clients.

Founders
The team behind tastytrade is the same that built thinkorswim (a popular trading platform acquired by TD Ameritrade) and tastytrade (a financial network producing original programming on active investment strategies, options trading, and the stock market).
Scott Sheridan and Tom Sosnoff were floor traders in the 1980s on the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE). Sheridan is now CEO of tastytrade, while Sosnoff is Co-CEO of tastytrade.
