Interest on uninvested cash
In order to earn interest at Robinhood, you will need to sign up for their so-called cash sweep program. The broker will then move your eligible uninvested cash into its network of FDIC-insured program banks that hold and invest your cash. These banks then pay interest on those deposits, minus any fees paid to Robinhood, which you receive as part of the brokerage cash sweep program.
You’ll earn 0.01% Annual Percentage Yield (APY) on your uninvested brokerage cash that is moved to the banks. Robinhood Gold members will receive 4.5% interest on uninvested USD.
There is no minimum account balance required to participate in the cash sweep program.
