Does Pepperstone have MT4? Yes, and here's how to use it

MetaTrader is a third-party platform widely used among forex and CFD brokers. MetaTrader 4 is especially designed for forex trading and is available to Pepperstone users.

At Pepperstone you have access to MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, and cTrader. Each has a web, desktop, and mobile version.

With a Standard, Razor or Managed account, you will have the following MetaTrader 4 platforms available

  • MetaTrader 4 WebTrader - works from your browser of choice

  • MetaTrader 4 Desktop - desktop client for Windows and Mac

  • MetaTrader 4 MultiTerminal - helpful extension to execute trades in multiple accounts, only for Windows

  • MetaTrader 4 Mobile App - both for Android and iOS

To access the platforms, go to the Secure Client Area and click 'Platforms' on the left side to see the platform selection.

How do I login to MetaTrader 4 on Pepperstone?

It's easy. Pepperstone lists all available MetaTrader 4 platforms on one page. From there, you can access all platforms from your PC - except of course the Mobile app.

  1. Go to pepperstone.com

  2. Click on 'Login'

  3. Use your account credentials to enter the Secure Client Area

  4. On the left side, search for 'Platforms'

  5. At the top, use the navigational menu to choose between 'MetaTrader 5', 'MetaTrader 4', and 'cTrader'. In our case, go with MetaTrader 4

  6. Here, you'll see a list of options. You will have to download a client to your PC, except for the WebTrader platform. Choose either the WebTrader or MT4 desktop to trade.

  7. Once you open your preferred MetaTrader 4 client, you'll see a popup window entitled 'Connect to an Account'

  8. Here, enter the MT4 Client Login account number and the MT4 client password. Note that these are not the credentials you used to enter the Secure Client Area (email address, your own password). You should receive the login credentials for the MT4 platform via email after opening an account

  9. Next, select your trading server, the name of which should be provided by Pepperstone

  10. If done right, you should be able to login to the trading platform right away

Is Pepperstone a good broker?

Pepperstone is a great forex and CFD broker, regulated by the following top-tier authorities: FCA, BaFin and ASIC.

The account opening is fast and fully digital. Customer service is great, providing lightning-fast and relevant answers. Deposit and withdrawal are a breeze, with no fees charged in most cases.

On the other hand, at Pepperstone you can trade only forex and CFDs. If you're looking for advanced features in your trading platform, you might find the MetaTrader platform slightly disappointing.
