Whether Moneta Markets or one of its alternatives is the best choice for you is on the following five broker characteristics that most interest people:

Fees. There are different types of fees that your online brokerage may charge, and both the number and the size of these fees may vary significantly from broker to broker. Both of these aspects can impact your returns and your overall experience. Moneta Markets is one of the cheaper brokers, so if this is an important consideration for you, make sure you pick a similarly low-cost Moneta Markets alternative.

Account opening. To open an account some brokers require at least €50,000 to be invested, while others don't set a minimum first-time deposit. The time it takes to open your account can be very different as well. At Moneta Markets this is not a problem as you can have it ready on the same day you registered.

Deposit/withdrawal. The number of ways that you can deposit or withdraw money to or from your account matters a lot. For example, while you can make a deposit with a credit card at Moneta Markets, this might not be the case at its alternatives.

Web trading platform. While online brokers are usually available on various platforms like mobile apps, tablet apps or desktop software, most people use them through their web platform in a browser. User-friendly trading platforms that offer many different resources can significantly increase your trading comfort.

Markets and products. A lot of people have specific products they would like to invest in. Knowing whether stocks, forex, mutual funds, and other products are available at the given Moneta Markets alternative is a must.

Now let's dive into the details of how Moneta Markets and its alternatives perform in the most important areas!

Fusion Markets

Fusion Markets is a zero-fuss broker for anyone wishing to trade forex, CFD and crypto. It has low trading and non-trading fees, account opening is a breeze and there is no minimum deposit required.

You can only use the MetaTrader 4 platform, which is a favorite with many forex traders but has outdated design and UX.

Among its drawbacks, Fusion Markets does not provide investor protection, and popular assets such as real stocks and ETFs are not available.

Recommended for forex traders looking for low fees and a chance to use the MetaTrader 4 platform

IC Markets

Australia’s IC Markets is a worthy option if low-cost forex/CFD trading is all you’re after and you’re not very picky about your choice of platform.

It has a competitive product selection that includes crypto, and a flexible fee structure offering very tight spreads with a reasonable commission. You can set up your account in no time and enjoy various deposit and withdrawal options, all free of charge.

IC Markets is not recommended for long-term investors, as you can’t trade stocks, ETFs or funds. The MetaTrader platform used by IC Markets has its limitations in design and functionality but will be familiar to many forex traders.

Axi

Australia-based Axi is a low-cost forex broker ideal for those who need some extra tools to build their trading strategies.

It has low forex fees and a great forex pair selection, compensating for a less impressive CFD lineup. Opening an account is easy and no minimum deposit is required. You can choose from many account base currencies, which can save you in conversion costs.

Like most competitors, Axi uses the well-known MetaTrader 4 trading platform, but it offers copy trading and some additional analytical tools for those who like to experiment with their strategies.

TMGM

Australia's TMGM is a good choice if you are content with only CFD/forex trading and prefer the MetaTrader platform.

It has a very strong selection of stock CFDs and a decent offering of forex pairs, all at low fees. It’s easy to open and fund your account, and the $100 minimum deposit is reasonable.

Still, the lack of assets outside forex, CFDs and crypto will likely deter long-term investors, and the MetaTrader platform is not everyone’s favorite due to its poor design and limited functionality.

Casual traders will be stung by a steep inactivity fee that kicks in after six months or if your account balance is too low.

Moneta Markets

Moneta Markets is a global forex and CFD broker.

It has low forex fees and non-trading fees are also very favorable. Opening an account is super-fast (less than 5 minutes) and fully digital. The broker also offers a great variety of deposit and withdrawal options, most of which are free.

On the negative side, its product portfolio is rather limited as the broker only offers forex and some CFDs. Additionally, stock CFD fees are quite high and there is no investor protection.

BrokerChooser gave Moneta Markets a 4.2/5 rating based on analyzing 600+ criteria and testing via opening a live account.

Recommended for forex and CFD traders familiar with the MetaTrader trading platforms
