What is the minimum deposit at MEXEM?

Once you have decided to open an account at MEXEM and completed both the registration and verification process, you need to fund your account to begin trading.

At MEXEM, the minimum deposit is $0. This means that you can deposit as little money as you wish.

Brokers that don't require a minimum deposit do so to encourage people to try their services without requiring a large initial commitment. You can compare alternative brokers here.

This is where you stand in your journey to your first trade at MEXEM

Here's tip: don't worry if you decide to switch brokers after depositing. You can always opt out and withdraw your funds.  All you have to keep in mind are applicable withdrawal fees and withdrawal time.

At MEXEM there are no withdrawal fees and it usually takes 2 days to receive your funds. Although keep in mind that sometimes withdrawal might take a bit longer.

What base currencies are available at MEXEM?

At MEXEM, the following base currencies are available: AUD, CAD, CHF, CNH, CZK, DKK, EUR, GBP, HKD, HUF, INR, ILS, JPY, KRW, MXN, NOK, NZD, PLN, RUB, SEK, SGD, USD, ZAR. Try to deposit money to your brokerage account in your account's base currency.

Why does this matter? If you fund your trading account in the same currency as your bank account or you trade assets in the same currency as your trading account's base currency, you won't have to pay a conversion fee. Conversion fees apply if your bank account or card is denominated in a different currency than the base currency of your brokerage account you're funding.

A convenient way to save on currency conversion fees is by opening a multi-currency bank account at a digital bank.

What deposit methods are available at MEXEM and do deposit fees apply?

At MEXEM, the only available option to deposit money to your account is via Bank transfer.

Deposit options MEXEM
Bank transfer Yes
Credit/Debit card No
Electronic wallet No

MEXEM charges no deposit fees for bank transfers. This is great because the broker won't deduct anything from your deposits, and you only have to calculate with the costs charged by the bank, or other third-party financial service you send the money with.

There is also a difference in average transfer time for different deposit methods. While credit/debit card and e-wallet transfers are usually instant, bank transfers may take 2-3 business days to arrive.

Imagine you are closely monitoring financial markets and have a strong belief that they will suddenly experience a significant downturn. In this scenario, you decide to open a trading account to react quickly to the news. You have to keep in mind that certain deposit methods, such as instant debit or credit card transfers, are more suitable for these urgent situations. Opting for these faster methods can ensure that you have immediate access to funds and can capitalize on market movements swiftly and effectively.
