At some point, you might want to transfer your ISA into a different type of ISA, or you might want to move your savings to a provider that offers a wider range of funds or lower costs.

How can I transfer my ISA or portfolio?

Conditions of a portfolio transfer are as almost exactly the same as transferring an ISA. The only difference is that some ISA providers have promotional services, meaning fees would be lower only for an ISA account transfer.

Generally, this is the process of a non-ISA portfolio transfer:

  • Ask for a portfolio transfer form from your old broker
  • In which you include information about the assets you want to transfer and the details of your target broker
  • Sign the form and send it to your old broker
  • Let your target broker's Customer Support know to expect contact from your old broker.
